Ann Lesch, The American University in Cairo’s Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, is leaving her post to take up a new role at the university.
In an emailed statement to the university this morning, Provost Lisa Anderson stated Lesch will become the school’s Associate Provost for International Programs, and will head the development of study abroad programs.
“The legacy of Dr. Lesch’s five years as Dean will be enduring,” Anderson said.
Anderson said she would soon announce the search committee formed to find a new Dean for the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUSS).
The university, though, has been advertising for the position through its website, and higher education employment websites, since the summer.
